Continental Little League Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Who can play in Continental Little League?
A: Any player League age 4-14 who lives or attends school in our league boundaries can play in Continental Little League. This includes boys and girls who want to play baseball. Players who Live outside of these boundaries in flagstaff are likely within West Flagstaff Little League and should reach out to them for registration. Girls who wish to play softball and live anywhere within CLL or WFLL boundaries may register with Flagstaff Girls Softball League. All three organizations are associated with Little League but all are run by separate Boards of Directors.

A: Little League sorts players by ages and establishes those ages by using a common date throughout all of Little League. That Date is September 1st of the same league year. Q: When Does the Season Start and End?
A: The City releases the fields to CLL on April 1 or when they are playable (whichever is later. We try to have 1-2 weeks of just practice and then practice and games intermixed through the end of school (June 1 ish). For Challenger We start a little later to give the players the warmest weather possible to enjoy. AAA and Majors play in a City Tournament that may run into the first week of summer vacation. For our extremely talented players that are selected to one of our three tournament teams (all stars), the season will run into the first few weeks of July.
Q: What is provided for my player?
A: The league provides Uniform Shirts, Hats and standard protective gear (Batting Helmets, Catcher’s gear, Facemasks and heartguards for T-Ball – AA pitchers). This gear may be brought by the player if they wish. At younger ages (Tball-AA) it is recommended that they have a glove and protective cup (for boys who want to play catcher). Cleats, pants and other baseball paraphernalia don’t provide any real advantage at this age and they grow out of them so fast, but some parents can’t resist the photo opportunity. Bats are generally shared amongst players who bring them.
Q: What days are practice/games?
A: Due to the limited field space, teams aren’t defined t specific days of the week for activities. Once the season starts, you can expect 2-3 practices and/or games a week. These occur in the evening M-F and all day Saturday. Little League does not allow sanctioned events on Sunday, but a coach may hold a non league scheduled voluntary activity on Sundays.
